Self, Identity and the Construction of Narratives

We were joined by Regina Jacobson and Laura Tan to delve into questions of self and identity in our working processes. Our experiences forge who we are and who we are forges the work we make. We explored the ways in which our sense of self and our experiences become enmeshed in the images and narratives we paint, how this can be explicit through the act of recording our physical identity in self-portraits and how it can seep into the stories we build with pigment.
